Recognizing our impact, as a major purchaser of goods and services, the University will begin using Corporate Express remanufactured printer cartridges exclusively. To facilitate this initiative, Corporate Express remanufactured printer cartridges, both inkjet and laser toner, will be automatically substituted for the original manufactured (OEM) brand. In the case where a remanufactured option does not yet exist for certain printer models, the OEM brand will still be available.

Why Should We Buy Remanufactured Toner?

We are committed to the use of remanufactured printer cartridges from Corporate Express in order to:

Conserve natural resources -minimize the amount of materials used, such as plastic, steel, aluminum, and rubber.

Reduce the use of energy -to produce a single new toner cartridge, approximately 3 quarts of oil are burned.

Reduce materials that are landfilled -by reusing or recycling approximately 97% of a toner's components, these materials are kept out of our landfills.

Corporate Express has a thoroughly tested remanufacturing process where each cartridge is disassembled, cleaned, parts are checked, parts are replaced if necessary, toner is refilled, and then the cartridge is reassembled. Remanufactured toner cartridges are 100% compatible and fully guaranteed, matching the standards and performance levels of OEM cartridges. Original manufacturer warranties will NOT be voided as a result of using remanufactured toner cartridges (Magnuson-Moss Act 1975). However, since Corporate Express remanufactured cartridges are fully guaranteed, they are responsible for making any and all necessary repairs and/or replacements for any printers or parts damaged by a faulty cartridge. What Should You Do With Used Cartridges?

Recycle!! When your laser or inkjet toner cartridge runs out, put it back in it's box, write USED or RECYCLE on the outside of the box, and give it to your Corporate Express delivery person. You don't have to wait till you order more toner, and you don't have to send it anywhere, just give it to your delivery person when they drop off your next delivery. It is that easy!
